We directly tested this hypothesis by measuring the degree of spike-frequency acceleration in M1 YFPH/PT cells before and after bath application of DTX (figure 4). 100 nM DTX significantly reduced the ISI ratio in M1 YFPH/PT cells from 1.57 to 1.08 (n=8, p
